About Us

THE HOUSE OF HEART WAS ORGANIZED IN 2017 AS A 501(C)(3) BUT HAS BEEN HELPING WOMEN HEAL SINCE 2014

House of Heart was founded over 4 years ago by Tammy Goldthorpe and has assisted over 340 women through 3 day interactive workshops and individual advocating. In this time, Tammy has received recognition from multiple organizations and news outlets, along with countless thanks from attendees. It is because of the love and dedication of Tammy, her husband Cliff (pictured left), and other volunteers/sponsors that the House of Heart has been able to keep its doors open. For the future, the House of Heart hopes to be self-sustaining and able to offer assistance to all who are in need, regardless of financial contribution.

One of the ways the House of Heart attempts to reach this goal is to hold bi-annual fundraisers open to the community. They hold a summer BBQ fundraiser each year around August and a formal banquet around the beginning of each year. For details on these events, please check our 'Upcoming Events' page above.

The other way the House of Heart is able to continuing holding workshops and providing individual assistance is through a workshop participation fee that covers the cost of food, lodging, and staffing. Attendees to the workshop are asked to provide this financial contribution but the House of Heart does its best to accommodate those who cannot afford to pay the full amount. They are currently providing payment plan options as well as limited scholarship opportunities. It is incredibly important to Tammy and the House of Heart that they are able to aid each and every individual in need of healing.

Our Vision

Everyone gets hurt in life. Many of us get lost in the pain and darkness of our past.  We go through life not being aware that the weight we are carrying keeps us from being who we innately are – a woman full of love.  The sacred space created at House of Heart is about being authentic and vulnerable with each other. We gain the freedom of being who we truly are, and not from a place of being wounded or inadequate.  By returning to that sacred fire inside, you will not only heal the energy of your own wounds, you will change the vibration of the feminine energy in the world.

Soroptimist Ruby Award

Tammy was awarded the Ruby Award by the Soroptimist organization. The Soroptimist Ruby Award honors women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls.
